To be clear, I’m not at all certain said cleats will make you play like a super hero on the gridiron. In fact I’d be pretty surprised if they did.
But you can at least look like one of your favorite Marvel or DC super heroes when you strap yourself into the Under Armour Alter Ego Highlight MC cleats. Retailing for $139.99, these babies are packed with technologies like ClutchFit and PlasmaX plates that sure sound like they came straight out of comic books.
Most importantly, they simply look cool, coming in Superman, Batman, Flash, Captain America and Hulk varieties. Just tell me there wouldn’t be a little doubt in the mind of someone trying to tackle you when you’re running at them in Hulk cleats.
If you’re the type that likes mixing your love of comics with athletics (and thus helping to dispel the myth that all comic geeks are allergic to exercise, so good for you!), you’ll be pleased to know that Under Armour makes a wide variety of super hero-themed gear under its Alter Ego sub-label. You can deck yourself out in regular tees, compression tees, socks and more, and there are products for men, women and kids.
The only problem might be that buying that stuff might take away money you’d be spending on more comics, so … have fun prioritizing, I guess!
