New X-Men: Days of Future Past Clip Shows The Movie’s First Battle

X-Men fans have already seen more than enough trailers and still images to have them properly psyched for the May 23 release of X-Men: Days of Future Past. But more is always better when it comes to getting the hype train revved to full speed, so Fox dropped another clip into the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night that cranked things up yet another notch.

Supposedly showing a bit of the first battle in the movie, the footage shows off Shadowcat, Blink, Iceman, Bishop, Sunspot, Colossus and Warpath trying to stand their ground against attacking Sentinels. Sunspot’s powers aren’t the same as they are in the comics (it looks like he may be wielding something like Sunfire’s powers, to be honest), but they look great in action. It’s also good to see Iceman fully iced up and cutting loose with his cold abilities.
