Jim Lee Returning To Batman

facebooktwitterreddit

Not to the main book, mind you, or at least it doesn’t appear that’s what he means (and Greg Capullo is kicking butt on art there anyway).

But Jim Lee definitely has another stint drawing something from the Batman universe in his not too distant future. When Comic Book Resources caught up with the DC co-publisher/superstar artist at the opening of The Batman Exhibit on the Warner Bros. VIP Studio Tour, he had this to say when asked about what he might be penciling next:

"I will leak something to you: It’s something Batman-related. But I actually have several projects lined up. There are several projects I’ve committed to before that I want to wrap up. But there are some really interesting new projects with some creators I’ve never worked with before that I hope to line up and announce by the end of the year."

So we’ve got a mystery Batman story, or at least one that involves the Bat-family in some way, and is going to be written by someone with whom Lee has not previously teamed up with in the past. That narrows the field a bit, because he’s worked with a who’s who of top writers.

Anyone care to make any guesses on what this could be?

And if there’s a major Batman announcement with Lee attached, you’ll be able to find out more about it on our sister site, Caped Crusades.
