New Flash “My Name Is …” Trailer Moves Fast, Adapts Wally West Catchphrase

During Mark Waid’s first and best run on The Flash, he often started issues out with the, “My name is Wally West. I’m the fastest man alive,” deal.

Well, the TV Flash is Barry Allen, but a similar phrase still works for him in the latest trailer released by The CW. We’ve seen some of the action from this 30-second clip before, but the scenes just fly by here — appropriately, given who we’re talking about.
I definitely like the various ways the show’s creators have already figured out to show Flash’s super-speed in action: from the top down, from a distance and up close and personal. The first-person view is also pretty cool. Also, when Barry tells the people concerned about him getting hit by lightning that he’s alright, he’s not lying.
Plus we get another tag line: “Believe in the impossible.”
The Flash speeds into action on The CW on Tuesday, October 7.
