New Promo For The Flash Is A Countdown And More

The CW did a very sneaky, yet smart thing with their newest promo for The Flash. In one simple statement, they reminded us of: the amount of days left for the highly anticipated show; that this Flash fits into the modern reboot of DC’s fictional universe; and that there’s a bigger world here, which opens the door for other characters.
Yep, fifty-two days. The promo’s statement is a reference to the initiative that started in 2011, where DC gave its characters a fresh start and fresh backstories — The New 52. The CW’s version of The Flash is definitely one that fits into this continuity as Barry Allen’s father is incarcerated for the murder of his mother. And from what we learned from the backdoor pilot in Arrow, Barry, just like in The New 52, is seeking evidence to clear his father of the crime.
The CW will premiere The Flash on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 8:00PM EST.
