Now that the whole crew of good guys on The Flash know that Harrison Wells is really the Reverse-Flash, the question now is what can they do about it?

We’ll learn at least the first part of the answer in this week’s new episode, “The Trap.” As the name suggests, our heroes are going to try to lure Wells into a situation where they can defeat and/or capture him. Of course we already know it’s not going to be quite that simple.

It’s also apparent that Cisco Ramon’s freaky flashes of memories of his alternate timeline death at Wells’ hands (well, just one hand, really) are going to be called upon in some way. I’m not sure exactly how that’s going to work, and I’d still like some explanation as to how he even has them, but maybe I just need to sit tight and be patient.

In any case, here’s the official synopsis for “The Trap” courtesy of The CW:

"Barry (Grant Gustin), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) set a trap for Wells (Tom Cavanagh). Cisco uses himself as prey which puts him in grave danger. Meanwhile, Eddie (Rick Cosnett) makes a decision regarding Iris (Candice Patton), which leaves Joe a bit unsettled. Steve Shill directed the episode written by Alison Schapker & Brooke Eikmeier (#120)."

Something else to watch for that has been revealed in the international trailers for this week is a confrontation between Wells and Eddie Thawne that promises to fill the latter in on the fact that the two of them are related. Ever since it was made clear that Eddie is not the current Reverse-Flash, I’ve had this notion that perhaps Season 1 ends with Wells defeated, Iris choosing to follow her heart with Barry and Eddie vowing some revenge by taking up his family legacy somehow. But now I’m wondering if maybe that could be a long term thing that won’t play out until next season.

Lots of things to ponder as you tune in Tuesday at 8 pm for “The Trap” on The CW. We’ll zip out our recap and review post as quickly as possible (though granted, not as fast as the Flash!) while also reminding you to check out another new edition of The Flash After Show on theStream.tv. Hosts Dylan Landon, Devon Stewart, Lauren Mayhew and Jack Hind are ready to dissect another adventure of the Fastest Man Alive, and you can join in by tweeting them with the hashtag #TheFlashAS.
