Supergirl: Five Things We Want In Season 2

Better Villains

One thing Supergirl suffered from was a lack of really great villains for Kara to fight. The three main antagonists she had during the season, Astra, Maxwell Lord and Non, were never really developed into great adversaries. And the assortment of other villains Supergirl faced ran the gamut from decent (Bizarro) to downright silly (Master Jailer).

What Supergirl Season 2 really needs is an archenemy for Kara, something the character never really had in the comics. Superman has Lex Luthor, Flash has Zoom and the Reverse-Flash and Supergirl has… no one.

It shouldn’t be too hard to find a character from either Supergirl or Superman’s past that they could elevate and make Kara’s archenemy.

They say a hero is only as good as the enemies they face. The writers need to address that head on in a second season so we feel invested in what happens to Kara when she is in danger.
