The prize for worst crossover goes to Civil War II, which spent almost an entire year with a plot that involved justifying profiling so long as its opponents acted like jerks. The runner up to worst crossover is Clone Conspiracy, which proves that every time someone thinks Amazing Spider-Man has jumped the shark, in comes a whole new aquarium. Being married to a model and actress was a web too far, but battling an army of clones yet again as a billionaire CEO isn’t for Spider-Man.
And that’s it for 2016! As always with every year, the world of comic books is wild, wondrous, and full of options. If you don’t find something you like, keep looking! And never be afraid to try something new from another publisher! Here’s hoping 2017 offers just as much strong work!
