1. Logan

This one is a no-brainer. After 17 years of watching Hugh Jackman play the Wolverine, 20th Century Fox finally greenlit an R-rated Old Man Logan film and let James Mangold go absolutely crazy. The creative freedom Mangold and his team were granted went a long way as the film turned out to be a huge success. In fact, Logan is not only the best X-Men movie to date, but it is easily one of the best-made, entertaining and action-packed comic book movies of all-time.

This movie had amazing visuals and breathtaking cinematography. The storyline was amazing, the characters were realistic and intriguing, and the movie was very down-to-Earth. This R-rated Wolverine movie took full advantage of what it was able to do as we finally got to see Hugh Jackman’s Logan shred some people up in the goriest way possible. It was disappointing to hear both Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart will not return for any future X-Men movies, but this was a perfect ending to a 17-year run.
