4. X-Men: Days of Future Past

After the success of X-Men: First Class, fans wondered if this movie was going to be able to live up to the first installment. Fox made a bold move by adopting a famous comic book storyline featuring time-travel and putting Bryan Singer back into the mix after a very long absence. The risk paid off, however, as X-Men: Days of Future Past was an absolutely terrific film that ended up having a better script, better action, and was overall more entertaining than X-Men: First Class.

The movie introduced time travel and was a crossover between the two different X-Men timelines. While it was confusing to follow in First Class, it became a lot more clear in this movie when they rebooted the timeline, which as a result deleted X-Men: The Last Stand and many of the other disposable X-Men films. This movie had a complex plot and still managed to let all of its characters have their own time to shine. After throwing in some epic X-Men action, fans couldn’t have been happier with the movie we got.
