2. This new version of Superman needs more screen time

Superman needs to be featured in another DCEU movie before we can actually get a Man of Steel sequel. Fans of Zack Snyder’s 2013 blockbuster will disagree but a lot of people did not like the brooding version of Superman. Then Henry Cavil and Ben Affleck were teamed together for a wildly underwhelming, Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice which didn’t help the perception of Superman in the DCEU at all. However, thanks to Justice League, Superman in the DCEU got a bit of a rebirth.

Justice League had its flaws, but one thing the DCEU got right was making Superman less brooding than he was in Man of Steel. The optimistic, corny, smiling version of the Man of Steel was present, and it felt right. Cavil’s performance as the more charming version of Superman left fans wanting more, yearning for a chance to see this version of Superman in a Man of Steel SequelWhile a MoS sequel is in the works, it isn’t happening anytime soon. Fortunately, thanks to Sandberg’s vision, we’ll get to see Superman sooner rather than later and there’s no better way than to have him feature in Shazam! One of the best things about having Superman appear is that he doesn’t have to take away any shine from Shazam! In fact, him being part of the film in a minor role is exactly how it can be done.
