Venom wraps shooting, Tom Hardy shares photo on Instagram

Tom Hardy posted a photo on Instagram confirming that Venom finished filming.

According to Tom Hardy’s Instagram, Venom wrapped two days ago. Thing have mostly been kept under wraps with the film. We generally know that the story pulls from Venom: Lethal Protector and Planet of the Symbiotes. Other than that, details are fairly sparse. Tom Hardy plays Eddie Brock and Venom is directed by Ruben Fleischer.

There was recent speculation as to who Jenny Slate and Scott Haze might portray in the film, but those details have not been confirmed. Woody Harrelson is set to play a henchman of sorts, but over on the IMDb page, there’s no name listed for him. Michelle Williams plays Anne Weying and Riz Ahmed plays Dr. Carlton Drake.

There have been a fair share of rumors surrounding this film, too. The main one is that Tom Holland is making an appearance. Whether he’ll be Spider-Man or just Peter Parker, though, is unclear. We also know that the Life Foundation is involved, which is where the characters possibly played by Slate and Haze come from.

Venom initially started filming in Atlanta and New York City in October, but recently moved production to San Fransisco. Most footage we’ve seen doesn’t involve the symbiote since that work involves a bit of post-production. It’s likely that we’ll see a trailer in the coming months now that the film is done shooting. Maybe we’ll see one once Infinity War is out, which would put the film five months away from it’s release.

Venom is scheduled for release on October 5, 2018. What are you looking forward to the most with the film?
