Riverdale: 21 Twitter reactions to this week’s bloody cover-up
Riverdale left us on quite the cliffhanger last week and picked up right where it left off. Every fan is talking about the Cooper cover-up.
Say what you will about Betty Cooper’s mom, but the woman knows how to handle a stressful situation. I mean, I don’t know how many of you have had to clean up and stash a dead body, but the Cooper girls made it look pretty easy. It is a shame that this violence and bloodshed had to take away from Betty and Jughead’s special night, but ultimately this cover-up and subsequent confession brings them closer together.
I think a lot of people were disappointed with Betty’s return to the scene of the crime and “borrowing” the dead man’s cellphone. It certainly seemed like a bad idea at the time, but I guess excuses could be made for her being young and her investigative curiosity getting the better of her. I mean this is the small town girl who has solved multiple murders with her friends. It is nice to see the generosity and resourcefulness of the Jones’ boys when it comes to handling crime. I mean Jughead’s dad jumped right into bed with the Cooper’s and take part in another murder cover-up.
There were also some signs that FP and Alice Cooper were re-kindling whatever romance they might have once had. It was nice to see the return of Cheryl in this episode and seeing her up to her usual manipulations. Is it just me or does it seem like the writers of this show are determined to make all the parents seem bonkers? I mean all of the kids seem way more well-adjusted and like real human beings. I’m just saying the parents seem way less interesting and relatable as people. Riverdale is taking a month off and the previews surprised a lot of people.
It looks like Kevin and Moose might be spending more time together, along with Cheryl and Toni finally meeting. There was also the tease of a kiss between Jughead and Veronica that people are freaking out over. Let’s take a look at how the fans of Riverdale are responding to this week’s episode.
