Is Marvel’s Black Panther in 3D?

Marvel’s Black Panther will hit theaters this week. For moviegoers interested in seeing an enhanced experience, will it be available in 3D?

Another year, another full slate of superhero movies. 2018 will start with Black Panther, the story of T’Challa, the man under the Black Panther suit and the new king of Wakanda. The latter event developed from the events of Captain America: Civil War, when this character debuted and assumed the role of the king after his father, T’Chaka, was killed.

Black Panther will bring this fictional country, Wakanda, to life for the first time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Moviegoers have seen New York City and Sokovia but never this African nation. It’s behind the work of director Ryan Coogler, the man behind this upcoming blockbuster.

The sights and sounds of Wakanda should be an amazing visual experience, something fans may walk out of the theater and appreciate. This can only look better in an enhanced viewing experience.

How can this be done? Well, theaters will offer Black Panther in 3D, allowing action from the movie to pop through the screen. This may appeal to some viewers, while others could be against this if they feel it negatively impacts their two-and-a-half-hour experience.

Either way, whether you view this movie in standard, 3D or something else, it should be a worthwhile time at the theater, getting the chance to experience the latest MCU movie. It’s also the final one before Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters in May 2018. How will it impact this all-star team-up?

Black Panther will theaters on Friday, Feb. 16. It stars Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Daniel Kaluuya as W’Kabi, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue and more.
