4. Firestorm
Firestorm can be an interesting addition. However, it may prove difficult due to his inclusion in the CW series Legends of Tomorrow. In the past there has been strange… technicalities with the series and the DCEU. They give a break to Deathstroke for example, due to his casting and Justice League post-credit scene for example. Something similar was done with Harley Quinn as well. Nonetheless, with his inclusion in the CW universe and being a playable character in Injustice 2 it is safe to say Firestorm is on his way up!
We have two Firestorm characters, Ronnie Raymond and Jason Rusch, so two black superheroes. Due to the inner city nature of Jason’s origin, it may be best in today’s environment to use Ronnie instead. That is not to say we cannot use both! Just like in New 52, two black superheroes in the same movie then! Firestorm can be an interesting addition due to his power level. He is truly the nuclear super hero! This is something not in the DCEU… yet. Originally in the comics, his appearance marks something of a nuclear arms race. This is still an on-going issue today in the world. Imagine if for once the hero of such a crisis wasn’t simply the traditional guy in the oval office. Instead, it is just some African-American high school kid.
