Whoever plays Cheetah will unquestionably have to be more than just one dimensional. There’s another side to the powerful hero that director Patty Jenkins will want to capture. With the rumors of Kristen Wiig being considered one can imagine that maybe a touch of humor is needed for the role along with the ability to pull off a convincing ass kicker. There aren’t a lot of actresses that can do it better than Rosamund Pike.Pike has the resume of a veteran that should give fans confidence in her ability to play both the powerful god-like Cheetah but the ruthless business woman that is Dr. Minerva. Or she can play the version of Cheetah who grew up in a tribe of murderers, either way there’s not a version of the villain Pike can’t handle. If you watch her in Wrath of the Titans you’ll see how she can play a woman with power as Andromeda.

As Andromeda, Pike is a sword-wielding arrow shooting kick-ass warrior queen who joins Perseus on his quest for justice. And in Gone Girl there’s the far end of the spectrum where she’s transformed from a desperate housewife to something else. Given the reception Gadot got playing the charming Amazonian beauty, Pike would garner the same sort of attention as the power Cheetah.
