The one thing that everyone loved about the first Deadpool movie was the humor. The jokes may have been vulgar and perverse, but they were also creative. Just because a joke is sophomoric, doesn’t make it funny. The conversation between Weasel and Wade, when Weasel saw his friend’s new face for the first time, is a classic scene. The avocado having intercourse with an older avocado joke was very visual, but that was the point. Anyone can make ugly jokes, but not anyone can make them memorable.
The humor didn’t stop with just quips. The funny also came when Deadpool was fighting. When Deadpool was running around looking for Francis (Ajax), Deadpool killed someone with a Zamboni. Then, he put the person’s name on the wall as “Zamboni Guy”.
During the final fight scene, Deadpool was fighting a guy, dropped his crotch on his face, and said, “teabag.” Or, there’s the fight (and I use that term loosely) with Colossus with a ton of physical humor. The trailer showed Deadpool jumping through a cab window while running away from people. I think we’ll still have the comedy.
