3. Memorable Villains
Does anybody remember who the main villain was other than The Hand? Probably not. The Hand wasn’t too appealing in Iron Fist as they were in season 2 of Daredevil. Bakuto wasn’t a strong enough presence to keep the series afloat and Davos wasn’t breaking any ground with his acting.
Thankfully, Ward and Jennifer’s father, Harold Meachum, was devious enough to hate. Season two is going to need more than just one memorable villain to make this season a success. Thankfully, season two is bringing in a very intriguing villain by the name of Typhoid Mary and Davos is going to have a bigger role becoming the Steel Serpent.
Having one character that can fight Danny in hand to hand combat is one thing. Now Danny will have to fight two characters with skill. Also, Typhoid Mary isn’t just a fighter, she seems to find a way to get under people’s skin. Having pyrokinesis doesn’t hurt either. Typhoid was an interesting choice since she’s usually a Daredevil villain. Maybe she ends up in Daredevil season three if she has a strong performance here. We also have to hope that Marvel doesn’t continue its trend of killing villains.
