Top 10 villains we want in Marvel’s Spider-Man’s sequel

3. Carnage
Many people were disappointed when Insomniac confirmed there wouldn’t be any symbiotes featured in their game. And while they stuck to their word, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if they wanted to change that in the sequel. So even with many symbiotes to choose from, none other compares to Carnage.
Cletus Kasady (A.K.A Carnage) is the most sadistic Spider-Man villain ever. He burnt down his orphanage when he was just a kid, and he even tortured a dog (if that doesn’t scream “sick”, nothing else will). He doesn’t need any motivation to do what he does other than it’s fun for him. So it’d be really interesting to see what Insomniac can create with the character. He’s no stranger to video games, and when he appears in one, it leaves a very lasting and powerful impression. Fighting him could prove to be a real challenge for Spider-Man. Not to mention that he could be a really memorable villain if done right (much like Heath Ledger’s Joker in The Dark Knight).
2. Green Goblin
Is there really something to explain here? Green Goblin is often considered Spider-Man’s arch-nemesis. He’s the one responsible for so much chaos and torture in Peter’s life. Not only he killed Gwen Stacy in Earth-616, but Spider-Man died fighting him in the Ultimate universe. And even if Norman Osborn appeared in Marvel’s Spider-Man, players didn’t get the chance to meet his alter-ego. But that doesn’t mean he’s not going to appear any time soon.
There are two missions in the game which indicate the goblin is coming. In both of them you play as Mary Jane, and if you explore your surroundings a little bit you’ll notice Oscorp is way ahead when crafting the equipment for Spider-Man’s arch-nemesis. The first mission is called “The One That Got Away”. In it, there are many Oscorp displays showing the inventions the company has created so far. And one of those is none other than the Goblin’s Glider. Not only that but in the mission “Step Into My Parlor” you find hand grenades in Norman Osborn’s secret lab. Needless to say, they resemble a lot to the Goblin’s Pumpkin Bombs. So it looks like Insomniac has all the right pieces in place to bring the relentless villain to life in the sequel.
