Lucifer wraps season 4 filming, waiting game begins

The cast and crew of Lucifer have officially wrapped filming on season 4 and now the waiting game begins as fans await the premiere on Netflix.

Production on season 4 of Lucifer has wrapped, and now it’s time for fans to play the waiting game while they await news of the show’s premiere date on Netflix.

According to members of the cast, it sounds like season 4 will premiere in April 2019, though that’s still unconfirmed. Thankfully, though, the cast and crew are very active on social media so Lucifans have been able to see the beloved cast at work throughout filming, which is better than radio silence until the show returns.

Here are some of the members of the cast enjoying each other’s company on the final days of filming:

Lucifer’s move to Netflix arrives at a time when the streaming giant is spending a lot of money for original content as deals with former partners like Marvel start to wind down. (Marvel will be part of Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+) However, with the recent payout to keep Friends for another year, Netflix isn’t afraid of spending money to keep shows that they feel have value.

Lucifer is the kind of show that could continue to do well on Netflix, and so it’s up to fans to show Netflix how happy we are that they have given the show a new home.

Though season 4 hasn’t even received a premiere date yet, fans are already wondering how to make sure Netflix knows that Lucifer needs a season 5 order. There are a few things that can be done at this early juncture. First and foremost, it helps to keep Lucifer active on social media. Are you rewatching the first three seasons? Tweet about it! Are you counting down the days until April? Tell Netflix how excited you are!

Until the premiere date is announced, fans can rejoice with these fun photos from the cast and crew, but get ready to start the social media machine as the season 4 premiere gets closer!
