8. Rogue

Who is she?

Rogue is a mutant with a power that seems like more of a curse than a gift. She’s unable to have any physical contact with people without absorbing their powers and memories. When she does that, she also takes some of their strength as well. Rogue spent a lot of her life alone after that until she met Mystique. Mystique was like a mother to Rogue, except she used her to commit crimes. Thankfully, she was given a second chance by the X-Men.

Why this works

Out of everyone in the X-Men movies, Rogue got the rawest deal. Anna Paquin mentioned that Rogue didn’t really have any action scenes.  How someone as popular and strong as Rogue could go through three movies with no memorable fight scenes is ridiculous.

Rogue at the very least should have knocked someone out for capturing her. She played the damsel in distress a lot of the time and that’s far from her character. The good thing is with Captain Marvel being part of the MCU, maybe they’ll bring back the feud between Rogue and Carol Danvers. At least this way Rogue will have her powers. Rogue is one of the strongest and most popular X-Men. In the cartoon she was literally hip tossing sentinels and tossing boulders at people, the least she deserves is a strong cinematic run.
