6. Magneto

Who is he?

The Master of Magnetism has had one mission while battling the X-Men: to make mutants the dominant species in the world. Meanwhile, the X-Men fight for co-existence. Magneto’s methods can sometimes be extreme, but he does it out of love. The same way we’ve seen Killmonger in Black Panther. He’s even gone so far as creating a mutant haven called Genosha where mutants could live among one another in peace. He is revered as one of the more popular and relatable villains in all of comics.

Why this works

Magento has been fighting the X-Men for decades. Sometimes he gets the best of them and others he retreats to fight another day. There have even been times when he has been a loyal member of their team.

Either way, Magneto is as much part of the X-Men as anyone who’s ever been on their roster. It would be weird to have an X-Men MCU franchise and not have Magneto be a part. I’d even wager that he’s more important to the story than Charles Xavier. Even after Xavier died or left the team, Magneto remained a crucial part of their story. Magento has also fought the Avengers. And everyone reading this would love to see it on-screen.
