15. Wally and Jesse (The Flash)

When Wally West showed up on The Flash during its second season, he didn’t exactly get off to the best of starts. Having just lost his mother, he felt out of place and often acted out. However, that all changed when he met Jesse Wells – the daughter of Earth-2’s Harrison Wells.

The pair hit it off rather well and, throughout the season, grew quite fond of each other. But their burgeoning romance hit a wall when Jesse had to return to Earth-2 at the end of the season. Well, at least it did, before she returned shortly afterwards with super-speed – the perfect excuse to see Wally. Just like that, these cute best friends became an incredibly cute couple.

While Wally and Jesse had great chemistry, their actual relationship suffered from being somewhat underdeveloped. Following their pre-relationship days, they didn’t exactly get a lot of screen-time when they finally got together in Season 3. Furthermore, as actress Violett Beane wasn’t a series regular, Jesse was often written in and out of the show sporadically during Seasons 3 and 4, while Wally was on-screen most of the time. As a result, we didn’t get to see that much of them when they were actually together, which ended up hindering the progression of their relationship.

Although they inevitably broke up, the fact that neither Violett Beane nor Keiynan Lonsdale are full-time members of the cast anymore does fill us with hope that maybe Wally and Jesse finally reconnected off-screen. Who knows, right?
