The Fate of the Khans Is Revealed!
Bruno insists that Josh is telling the truth with his handy home-made scanning device, so he and Ms. Marvel leave him for a future issue. The gadget leads them to another alien sighting at the Morristown Municipal Airport. The alien is hard to miss — purple, three-headed, and about 30 feet tall! Unfortunately, if comic book readers have seen one superhero vs. monster fight, they may have seen them all! The real “surprise” is what comes after, if one can even call it a surprise!
Ammi and Abu Khan are alive and well — just tucked into a weird alien present box in a storage hanger. At least this means that Kamala Khan has a chance to make things up to them, after yelling at them in the previous issue. But how does that even happen? While they have legitimate concerns about their daughter risking her safety and shirking her responsibilities to be a superhero, Kamala has a right to live her own life and arguably does a greater good as Ms. Marvel.
