6. Captain America Returns With The Rescued Soldiers

Film: Captain America: The First Avenger

A test of strength can come in any shape, form or size. For Steve Rogers, it was growing up wanting to do the one thing that he was physically incapable of doing – serve his country. Yet, he persevered and made it happen. Unfortunately, that wouldn’t be the end of his tests.

Upon his transformation into a super-soldier, Steve was christened Captain America and turned into a patriotic symbol of hope, used to inspire countless people on film, TV and the stage. The only problem was that the most important audience, the soldiers, didn’t feel inspired by it at all and took the opportunity to make fun of him.

Even with all the tools to be a hero, Steve still found himself on the wrong end of a “joke,” thus, he set out to prove himself in a more definitive manner. With help from Agent Carter and Howard Stark, he successfully infiltrated the Hydra base and rescued countless imprisoned American soldiers.

As all hope looked lost back at the base, and Agent Carter received a warning from Colonel Phillips for her rouge mission, Steve marched into the grounds with all of the troops that he rescued, as the remaining soldiers looked on in awe and disbelief.

“Let’s hear it for Captain America!” Bucky shouted out as the soldiers erupted with applause and Alan Silvestri’s triumphant score played in the background. It was undoubtedly a full-circle moment for Steve because, after all this time, everyone saw him the way that Bucky saw him, the way that Agent Carter saw him and, most importantly of all, the way he knew he could be seen if he had been given the chance.
