Dylan O’Brien as Iceman

To put it mildly, Fox gave Iceman the cold shoulder. We get it, they needed to cram as many X-Men into the original franchise as possible. Unfortunately, it was at the risk of a character that fans of the X-Men comics love. Iceman has a following large enough to warrant Marvel developing a solo comic run.

Arguably the most disappointing arc in the entire X-Men series was Iceman, Bobby Drake. It’s not to say he wasn’t used, because he was. But he wasn’t used the correct way. For starters, he wasn’t a member of the X-Men that joined with Rogue.

Part of what makes him great is his energetic and somewhat rebellious personality. The Bryan Singer Bobby wasn’t that at all. He was a glorified love interest for Rogue, and Iceman deserves more.

As a matter of fact, Disney Plus could capitalize on Iceman and Angel’s UCLA days. Imagine a comedy with two mutants in college, “Iceman and Angel: The Dorm Days.”

Who better to put some respect on Iceman’s name than Dylan O’Brien. He’s already held down a successful franchise with The Maze Runner. Plus, he’s shown he can kick butt in American Assassin.
