Conjure serpents, kisses, and secrets in Sabrina the Teenage Witch No. 3
By Alex Widen
They May Live in a Trailer, but They’re Not Trash!
Either through supernatural fortune or amazing coincidence, this trailer is where Radka lives with her brother. It turns out Greendale High’s chief “mean girl” is secretly poor and desperate to hide the fact that she comes from such a humble place. Radka begrudgingly lets Sabrina in, but is in no mood for her to stay, nor does she want Sabrina calling her aunts to pick her up. The fewer witnesses to the trailer park, the fewer people know. At least this is what Radka rolls with.

Her hunky brother Ren, on the other hand, has no such qualms. He’s willing to keep the secret of their domicile, but mostly for his sister’s sake. Radka, meanwhile, is somehow afflicted with the curse of the Wendigo, in which Ren is an unwitting pawn! Thankfully, being a teenage witch and a part of a whole coven makes Sabrina more understanding of the secrets of others. The more she learns about Radka, the more she learns that there is a human face behind the bullying.

Speaking of human faces, Sabrina gets a lot of Ren’s. He offers to give her a ride home, and the back of his motorcycle cuddling his torso is a lot better than running from tentacle monsters in the woods. She quickly realizes the “teen romance” genre is way cooler than horror or comedy tend to be. And while Harvey may have asked Sabrina out, he can’t seem to match the timing and charisma of Ren, who’s hardly the “bad boy” the back cover claims he is. And just like that, Sabrina experiences the magic of a first kiss.
