5. Where Is The Real Agent Hill?

Given that Spider-Man: Far From Home is, in many ways, the final film of the MCU as we know it, it was nice to see the returns of Samuel L. Jackson as the formidable former S.H.I.E.LD. Director Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders as his long-trusted ally Agent Maria Hill. Staples of the MCU’s earliest days, seeing them undoubtedly sparked a lot of memories for long-time fans of the franchise.

While most of us were thrilled to see both characters featured so heavily in the film, we had the rug pulled out from under us when the post-credits scene revealed that this iconic duo was actually Skrulls in disguise. That’s right, Fury was none other than Talos while Hill was really his wife Soren – both of whom we met in Captain Marvel.

Of course, a phone call with the real Nick Fury revealed that he was in space, surrounded by an army of Skrulls as he returned to work following a relaxing session of sunbathing in front of a beach graphic. While this raises questions about Fury’s plans for the next phase of the MCU, it also confirmed that he was at least partially involved in Far From Home‘s story. Agent Hill, however, was not.

Hill has been a loyal trust-worthy ally of Fury’s for a long time now. Having helped him out of deadly situations in The Avengers and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, she was even present when the pair were ‘blipped’ out of existence in the closing moments of Infinity War. So where is she now, and why wasn’t she on-board the ship with her boss’ Skrull army?
