Arrow: 3 major things we learned from the Season 8 premiere photos

1. We’re Going To Meet Alternate Versions Of Dinah And Rene

Perhaps the most jarring of all the intentionally-jarring photos of Season 8 is the one which spotlights Dinah Drake and Rene Ramirez. While it’s not unusual to see these two share a scene together, as the pair have become quite the dynamic duo over the past few years, what is unusual is the fact that they’re both in the Queen Mansion.

While you could suggest that the setting only looks like the Queen Mansion and could, instead, be somewhere else, the fact that another photograph features the pair walking down the same stairway that Oliver’s Green Arrow is also seen on confirms that they are on the same earth as him. That, however, doesn’t mean that they’re the versions of the beloved characters that we know and love.

Thanks to the flashforwards, we know that the pair never interacted with Oliver again after his departure with Felicity, so it’s highly unlikely that the Dinah and Rene in the premiere are the Earth-1 iterations.

The question is: Who are they, and why are they seemingly tracking Oliver? Is the Emerald Archer trying to bring together a version of Team Arrow on another earth, or is there something else going on here?
