5. The New Suit Looks Incredible

You gotta hand it to the Arrowverse’s costume designers – they just never stop… and all you have to do is watch The Flash‘s Season 6 trailer to know that their hard work has clearly paid off.

The Scarlet Speedster’s uniform has evolved quite regularly. Initially a maroon leather suit, the show was building towards Barry eventually donning a more comic-accurate red leather suit – which they debuted prematurely in Season 4. However, in Season 5, they changed things up again with a completely different leather-less costume that had never been teased, and featured a helmet-like cowl with no chinstrap.

Needless to say the change didn’t go down well with fans and the designers went back to the drawing board for Season 6, producing a much more comic-accurate outfit with more padding while also returning the chinstrap and finally adding the iconic golden accents from the comics. That said, would it look good in motion? After all, the Season 5 suit looked okay in the posters but that didn’t translate all that well to screen.

Thankfully, it’s safe to say that the new suit looks great in motion. As we see in the trailer, its design is incredibly close to the original Flash suit design while the velvet-like surface (and lack of leather) ensures that it looks much less baggy than previous offerings.

The Flash is back!
