2. Will Nora Actually Return?

One of the episode’s main narratives revolved around Barry and Iris’ attempts to move on with their lives after their time-traveling daughter, Nora West-Allen, was erased from existence while trying to help them. Though they were still grieving, they attempted to take solace in the fact that they would meet her again in the present day whenever she’s born.

The question is: Will they ever see Nora again? Iris’ conversation with Cecile indeed confirmed that their eventual child wouldn’t be the exact same Nora that they knew (because she wouldn’t have all those memories and, hopefully, won’t have to grow up without a father), but does that actually confirm that when the West-Allens inevitably have a child, it will be Nora?

After all, the Reverse-Flash told Nora that a “new timeline was setting in” when she was in the midst of being erased. Does that mean that Nora West-Allen was erased from existence altogether, or just that version of her? Could an altered timeline bring with it the need for “more diapers” instead?

Time will most certainly tell.

1. Can The Flash Be Saved From The Crisis?

In a rather troubling development, Barry and Iris were confronted by The Monitor in the premiere’s post-title sequence and were informed not just about the Crisis’ new date (December 10, 2019) but that the Scarlet Speedster could not be saved.

While this isn’t exactly news to Team Flash (given that the long-teased post-Crisis newspaper confirms that The Flash vanishes), it is troubling to us as viewers considering Arrow‘s Oliver Queen is expected to be the Crisis’ new sacrifice after he changed things by offering up his life in last season’s Elseworlds crossover.

If The Monitor is all-knowing and all-powerful, you would think that he’d be aware of who makes it out alive, so his warning is quite concerning. Even with Green Arrow doing all he can to prepare, and perhaps even sacrificing himself, is The Flash set to vanish too? Or is The Monitor just refusing to reveal Barry’s new fate in order to motivate him even more?
