Superhero Movie: Black Panther

Some superhero movie villains are good because of their fighting ability, ruthless nature, or intelligence. Others became popular because of the reason they fought. Killmonger had all of this and more.

He was one of the best fighters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He defeated T’Challa, took over Wakanda, and held his own against the Dora Milaje. His unrelenting ruthlessness allowed him to realize anyone is expendable if it furthered his goals. He was smart enough to formulate a plan to get in Wakanda. Lastly, his reason for revenge was something that fans related to. Simply put, Michael B. Jordan portrayed a lesser known antagonist and made him a superior villain.

"“Bury me in the ocean, with my ancestors that jumped from the ships, because they knew death was better than bondage.” -Erik Killmonger"

Michael B. Jordan has become one of the more well-liked actors in Hollywood. This role propelled him to another level. He showcases sides of Killmonger we hadn’t seen: an aggressive killer and genius strategist. Jordan made Killmonger look smooth as well.

Despite killing innocent people, Killmonger was likable. It was like he could do no wrong. In the end,  Jordan delivered one of the best lines in the movie. Even in death, he still shined. Don’t be sad. I’d wager Killmonger will return. Michael B. Jordan was too good and Ryan Coogler is a creative genius. He’ll find a way to bring him back in a future project.
