Memphis Grizzlies
Do you remember the Vancouver Grizzlies? Probably not. The short-lived Canadian team wasn’t much to remember. However, the Grindhouse Memphis Grizzlies are a personal favorite. Marc Gasol, Tony Allen, Zach Randolph, and Mike Conley were a throwback team. They weren’t a high-flying squad by any means. Even though they could, Randolph and Gasol rarely took to the sky. What made them special was how hard they played.
They weren’t the Bad Boy Pistons (they’ll come up later). They weren’t going to get ejected from every other game due to flagrant fouls. They would grind out every game and played tougher defense than any team in the league. This was why the FedEx Arena was nicknamed The Grindhouse. Teams like this only come around once in a while. They’ll be missed.
Vision
Vision is among the more underrated members of the Avengers. What’s sad is that he’s one of the most powerful. Vision is superhuman strong, shoots a beam of energy from an Infinity Stone in his head, and could change the density of his body. He was the reason the Avengers defeated Ultron. What keeps makes him so much like the Grindhouse Grizzlies is he’s not flashy when he fights.
Vision isn’t like the other Avengers. He doesn’t flip, have a pack of specialty arrows, or make jokes to distract his enemies. He’s a no-nonsense hero. And that Grizzlies team was a no-nonsense squad. Hopefully we get to see more of what Vision can do in the Disney Plus show WandaVision.
