Matching 30 Marvel Cinematic Universe characters with each NBA team

Cleveland Cavaliers
It doesn’t matter if you’re a young or old NBA fan. You’ve seen the triumphs and tragedies of the Cleveland Cavaliers. They’ve had seasons that ranged from mediocre, great, to flat-out embarrassing. That’s the way the league works. Every team has their ups and downs. For Cleveland, it seemed like they’d never win a title. That changed in the 2003 draft when they drafted their hometown hero LeBron James.
It only took four years for LeBron James to lead the Cavs to their first trip to the NBA Finals. That’s how good he was at a very early age. It’s unfortunate that they ran into the San Antonio Spurs. Nonetheless, they did beat an amazing Detroit Pistons team four games to two. Less than a decade later, LeBron and Kyrie Irving took on the Golden State Warriors. A team with the best record in NBA history and defeated them in seven games. An emotional win for LeBron (who’s from Akron, Ohio) and any NBA fan. It was easy to be happy for them and the city of Cleveland.
The Cavs deserve a character that’s been through a lot and still managed to keep on going. It has to be someone who may not be appreciated as much as they should be.
Rocket
Everyone loves Rocket. That much is true. The one million intergalactic credits question is if he’s appreciated for who he is and what he’s done. It’s doubtful. For example, without Rocket, the Guardians of the Galaxy may not have escaped from jail or defeated Ego. Everyone talks about Peter Quill and Gamora, while forgetting the importance of Rocket.
Like the Cavs, Rocket has been through a lot. It’s made him a cynical and bitter person. Having been experimented on and constantly treated poorly hasn’t helped his outlook on life. Another similarity is Rocket’s genius. LeBron is one of the most intelligent basketball players the NBA has ever seen. Everyone talks about how he’ll eventually lose his athleticism (no signs of that yet). When that does happen, he could still play another five or more years just being a facilitator.
