6. You’re so dark!

Movie: Deadpool 2 (2018)

When Deadpool and Cable faced off, they beat on each other like it was going out of style. Unlike the Batman fight mentioned previously, this wasn’t a multiple person brawl. This was just two guys who wanted to kill each other, even if it meant hurting themselves in the process.

At one point, Cable broke Deadpool’s arm. Most people would have been at a disadvantage if this happened. Even if they had a healing factor. Not Deadpool. He used this as an opportunity to try to strangle Cable with his limp and broken limb. This was just one of the many painful moments in this scene.

Why it ranks as one of the greatest fight scenes from this decade’s superhero movies

You could feel every strike in this fight. Cable was going for pressure points because he really wanted to hurt Deadpool. There was one move in particular where Cable reached into Deadpool’s chest and lifted him from his ribs. It was sadistic, yet necessary. Cable is supposed to be that vicious. Especially against a guy who was probably annoying him to his core. Deadpool got his hits in too. Smashing a pipe into Cable’s face and even using Cable’s own gun on him. But Cable won the day.

They pushed the R-rating here, maybe more than any other comic book movie. It wasn’t just violent, it was graphic. You have to appreciate how they really went for it. There’s no need to mess around when you can have two guys like Cable and Deadpool who can take and dish out loads of punishment.
