What should we call the Arrowverse after Arrow ends?
The Bat family
Currently, the newest series to join the universe, Batwoman has the greatest potential in becoming the next Arrow. There have been comparisons between Arrow and Batman in the past, which makes sense with when the show started (peak Christopher Nolan’s take on the Dark Knight). In 2020 and beyond, it wouldn’t be surprising if Batwoman gets comparison so both Batman and Arrow. You can’t blame people; it’s rare to such extraordinary people who are just well-trained humans with a lot of money.
Pro: Ruby Rose’s Batwoman is the closest character in these shows to Stephen Amell’s Green Arrow–she can brood with the best of them. Every other DC Comics show on The CW is at least in its fifth season, while Batwoman is the start of the next generation. For a long-term plan, utilizing this character and the entire Bat family as a way to represent these shows makes sense.
Con: Batwoman is too new. More so, the term “Bat family” is widely accepted as the group of heroes that have direct ties to Batman: Robin, Nightwing, Red Hood, etc. While it could certainly be adapted for these shows, it’s likely too specific–unless, of course, The CW plans on getting into nothing but a series of Bat-related shows.
