2. Jughead’s Body Is Discovered
In an attempt to both get justice for Jughead and get the heat off her, Betty organized a faux search party so that she, Archie and Veronica could lead Sheriff FP Jones to Jughead’s body – something that she knew would no doubt open an investigation.
That’s exactly what happened as the search party made its way through the woods and Archie “discovered” Jughead’s body, seemingly confirming the impossible: Jughead Jones is dead and gone.
1. Betty Vows To Take Down Donna
It’s clear that Betty hasn’t had enough time to grieve the loss of her beloved boyfriend, because she’s spent every waking moment attempting to convince herself of her own innocence and prove that those at Stonewall were guilty.
However, the confirmation that she didn’t kill Jughead brought her a little comfort in the midst of all the madness, and it ultimately gave her the confidence to threaten Donna at the scene of the crime, reminding her that she’s the daughter of the Black Hood and that she’ll happily take her down.
If it wasn’t clear before, it certainly is now: Betty Cooper is not to be trifled with.
