20 comic book characters who would challenge John Wick
By Mark Lynch
14. Crossbones
We only got a glimpse of Brock Rumlow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but what little we did see was impressive. He went up against Captain America and did better than anyone without powers. In Marvel Comics, he’s even better.
He’s not scared of anyone with or without powers. Captain America, Deadpool, Wolverine, and The Punisher have all found out how tough Crossbones can be. He isn’t a martial artist that’s going to dazzle and amaze with judo throws, kicks, and back flips. He’s going to shoot, stab, and punch his way to victory. It may seem basic, but it’s effective because he’s done it for decades.
Crossbones wins 0 out of 10 fights
As good as Crossbones is, he can’t beat John Wick at all. There’s nothing that Rumlow does that makes him special. He’s essentially just all of the goons that John Wick has fought in the movies.
Yes, Rumlow is skilled. Yes, he’s taken on Captain America. The problem is Crossbones’ hubris. He would look at Wick as another pretty boy playing mercenary. He’d think that the first few times they fought and by the time he actually would figure out that she should be taking Wick seriously, it would be too late.
As Crossbones doesn’t have various moves, Wick would figure him out easily. Yep, he’d regret accepting that contract.
