3 Arrowverse spoilers: The Flash finale shock, Lex takes over Supergirl, Legends never die
3. The Flash‘s new finale
Given everything that’s going on in the world right now, it didn’t come as much of a surprise to learn that the majority of television shows were unable to complete production on their current seasons. With that in mind, however, Flash fans have been left wondering what the conclusion of season 6 will ultimately look like.
Speaking to TVLine, The Flash himself Grant Gustin revealed that the show understandably wasn’t able to pull off the original finale they were hoping to – a finale with a cliffhanger involving a certain Flash rogue. He revealed:
"“There was going to be a big Thawne cliffhanger at the end of what this season would have been, but that’s not going to be the cliffhanger we get.”"
Those who have been watching season 6 will, of course, know that the Reverse-Flash made another return throughout the season when he attempted to possess the body of Nash Wells. However, Team Flash was once again able to thwart him and send his energy into the atmosphere. It was clear that he was destined to return at some point so it’s unfortunate that it will no longer be at the end of season 6.
However, all is not lost as the season will feature some kind of major cliffhanger that will undoubtedly play into season 7. Gustin commented:
"“[Episode] 619, “Success is Assured,” is going to end up being our finale, so we’re going to have a different cliffhanger than originally planned. But the cliffhanger does serve as a pretty good finale.”"
Will Barry and Team Flash overcome Mirror Master, Black Hole or Joseph Carver before season 6 comes to an end?
