If we are going to get a whole new actress picking up the mantle of the Scarlet Knight in Batwoman season 2, The CW might as well go all the way with the change. It’s going to be hard for fans to get used to anyone but Rose wearing the cowl, so the network’s best option when looking for a replacement is to find someone who is as different from Rose as possible. One way to differentiate the newest Batwoman from Kate Kane is to have her played by a Black woman.

That actually may be a direction that The CW is strongly considering, as the current rumors suggest that the network is eyeing Vanessa Morgan from Riverdale to play the new Batwoman. While Morgan would certainly make a great choice, another Black woman who would make a wonderful addition to the cast is Samira Wiley.

Since Rose made the announcement, Wiley’s name has popped up quite a few times in the conversations about who could replace her, with many fans wanting to see Rose’s fellow Orange is the New Black alumni don the cowl.

The fans certainly believe in the Emmy winner’s abilities enough to see it happen and her talent speaks for itself, so maybe The CW should consider casting The Handmaid’s Tale star in the role.
