A new journey for Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy

Could this show have ended with Harley and Poison Ivy kissing? Absolutely. They ride off into the sunset and begin their lives together happily (and probably bloodily) ever after. No one would be mad at that. Sure, we’d be disappointed, but not angry – because, sometimes, less is more. However, for Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, this is just the beginning.

There is so much more of their story left to tell. Poison Ivy hasn’t been going after the people who are threatening the planet – and, as we know, there are a lot of targets like that waiting to be punished. Since Harley is more than happy to help Ivy, that alone would be worth the adventure. Meanwhile, Harley herself wants to stop injustice the way she did in Themyscira: Stopping tyrannical men from ruining the world.

Honestly, it seems like their goals align. On top of that, we’d ultimately witness how they balance a new relationship with their goals in life.

Harley still has a lot to learn. After being in an abusive relationship with The Joker and having a terrible family, she’s going to make mistakes. Ivy isn’t perfect either; she’ll do some things that will unintentionally hurt Harley. Nonetheless, that’s the beauty of this. Both of these women will be learning from each other. It’ll be amazing to watch them grow together.
