2. Wonder Woman is the best thing going right now

It is fair to say that 2017’s Wonder Woman is universally the most beloved DCEU film. Fans will have to wait for Wonder Woman 1984 and a third Wonder Woman film.

It would not be a surprise if those two movies were also incredibly big hits as well. Director Patty Jenkins and the film’s star Gal Gadot have shown a genuine enthusiasm for the character and the stories they want to tell with her and the Amazon warriors.

It was obvious with the release order that Warner Bros. wanted the DC trinity of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman to be a big hit. While their team-up is the best thing from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, their interactions were lackluster in Justice League.

Jenkins understands the character and the times we are living in. Wonder Woman embodies the hope for humanity that is needed for a viewing audience looking for optimism. Badass female characters are must-watch, and fans showed their enthusiasm for Wonder Woman before, during and after the film’s incredible success.

Warner Bros. beat Disney/Marvel to the punch on having a female-led superhero movie that is directed by a woman. Keep the momentum going. Recasting or even changing anything about Wonder Woman would be the biggest mistake Warner Bros. could make.
