WandaVision fan theories: The Sitcoms represent something bigger
When the first look at the Marvel Disney+ shows dropped during the big game, one of the biggest takeaways was the snippets of WandaVision, mainly because they were very different than anything MCU fans were used to, indicating this series was taking things in a bold new direction.
The marketing material continued to emphasize that WandaVision will exhibit several different types of sitcom styles over different periods of time in either a simulation, alternate reality, dimension, or in a dream. The first thought people might have is that this is just Wanda searching for the right place to start her perfect life with Vision and leaving her past behind. But what if it had a much more profound meaning beneath the surface?
There is a theory floating around that suggests each style could represent a moment of Wanda’s troubled past. There are plenty of heartbreaking moments in that department, including the death of her parents, staring at a Stark missile for hours waiting to die, the death of Quicksilver and Vision, and those are just the things fans know about.
It’s apparent that Wanda has some demons she is going to need to deal with, and given her less than ideal upbringing, fabricating reality in certain ways may be the only way she is able to process these traumatic ordeals. If this does pan out, it would add significant value to WandaVision and make a strong argument for taking the title of one of the best Disney+ original series so far.
