Here are 5 ways that Zack Snyder’s Justice League could continue.
Whether you are a fan of the monochromatic motion pictures or prefer the vibrant hues seen in regular films, both the Justice is Grey edition and the version of Zack Snyder’s Justice League that premiered on March 18, 2021, are available on HBO Max, resulting in many fans calling for a sequel almost a much as they wanted the original.
Snyder has stated that he would like to see another iteration to succeed his Justice League flick in a comic book with arcs involving the Joker-Robot story, Amazon Queen Wonder Woman, Seven Kingdom-ruling Aquaman, and the newly-resurrected Superman. He claimed that Justice League 2 would be: “be a very grounded, personal and character-driven film that would follow the Justice League both together, and separately, as they mend old wounds, on the road to becoming better and stronger heroes.” A comic book would be nice, but I think everyone would agree that all of these ideas are too good to just be put out on page in some panels.
Even though Warner Media CEO Ann Sarnoff stated there are no plans to continue Snyder’s vision for the DCEU, the #RestoreTheSnyderVerse campaign has already begun. The studio didn’t want the Snyder Cut to see the light of day at one point, and the passions of the fans turned the tides, so it’s probably safe to never say never when it comes to the DC Cinematic Universe.
If the power of the SnyderVerse minions can change WarnerMedia’s minds once again, there are plenty of options to make another Justice League chapter, and it doesn’t have to be a 4:3 black and white flick that has a hefty runtime. Out of all the avenues another installment could go, here are five exceptional options the powers that be should consider when they come to their senses and greenlight Zack Snyder’s Justice League 2.

Podcast Series
Podcasts are all the rage these days, and some of the best ones to listen to are the scripted fiction series. Some of the use excellent ordeals include Wolverine: The Long Night, Homecoming, and Limetown, just to name a few.
These binge-worthy endeavors have spawned some hit TV series, so it wouldn’t be crazy for it to work in reverse when it comes to another outing to continue the story behind Zack Snyder’s Justice League. There several ways this idea could be executed, like having getting certain actors to provide the vocal talents, bringing in a top-tier composer, and providing movie-quality sound design to really sell the fantastic follow-up in a reasonably cost-effective manner.
DC animated movie
While the DC live-action film landscape has been hit or miss over the years with failures like Green Lantern and the original Justice League coming out in between successes like Wonder Woman, Joker, and Aquaman, the DC animated movie game is as strong as its ever been. One could even argue that DCAU is almost on par with the MCU but that an argument for another day.
There have been some amazing titles, including Batman: Hush, Assault on Arkham, Justice League: War, and Batman: Soul of the Dragon, just to name a few. If there was a way to secure the same actors to voice their characters once again and employ some next-level animation, there is no denying that a cartoon version of Zack Snyder’s Justice League 2 would be a must-watch affair from start to finish.

Audiobook
Fans were very excited to learn that Neil Gaiman’s hit comic series The Sandman would get some grade-A audiobook treatment becoming an Audible Original starring X-Men alumni James McAvoy as the character Dream. This would lead many to presume that Zack Snyder’s Justice League 2 might work well as an Audiobook endeavor like an Audible original.
This cost-effective direction would open up a lot of options for the story and its characters and allow the director to keep his universe alive. He could just keep dropping titles while the live-action DCEU films attempt to survive, and there is no telling where things could end up down the line.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League: A HBO Max Limited Series
Considering it took four hours to get Zack Snyder’s Justice League to the point fans could finally see it, it’s understandable why another film doesn’t look that exciting to the people in charge. Most of Snyder’s work is better with an extended cut, and a lot of evidence supports that he would do extremely well in the world of television.
This is why allowing him to finish his cinematic universe with a decent-budgeted limited series would be an outstanding idea. Several streaming services have found major success with the miniseries format, and there is a good chance a Justice League sequel show could do some damage around awards season.
Arkham-style video game
It might be better if fans could take the helm for the rest of the SnyderVerse and play out the adventures in an Arkham-style video game. Batman: Arkham Knight, Batman: Arkham City, Batman: Arkham Asylum, and even Batman: Arkham Origins were some exceptional video game titles with ridiculously high replay values, and their setup would make for a magnificent manner to continue Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
It would be crazy to shift back and forth between the present, and the Knightmare future playing as an array of characters, solo or with a group of friends acting out the massive storyline. There is no denying that fans wouldn’t say no to a Justice League video game where they can play as Henry Cavill’s Superman slowly turning evil to Jared Leto’s Joker shooting up Para-demons in a post-apocalyptic Gotham would be something people would camp out for a week to experience.
