Thor will be adopting a new look in his upcoming fourth film and this new image gives fans a full first official look at it.
The God of Thunder returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Thor: Love and Thunder. The Avenger was last seen in Avengers: Endgame when he became something of a divisive character because of that film’s attempts to portray “Fat Thor” as one of its main sources of humor.
In the upcoming sequel, however, the hero will be more ripped than ever (as evidenced by Chris Hemsworth’s recent social media post) as he wields his iconic weapons while sporting a new look.
The film has recently wrapped but recent photos of the wrap gifts and a social media post from Hemsworth himself have given fans an illustrated look at that new costume – a costume that was teased in previous set photos.
A new look at Chris Hemsworth’s new Thor costume in Love and Thunder
In celebration of Thor: Love and Thunder wrapping, a fan account on social media shared an image of the wrap gifts, featuring artwork of Hemsworth’s warrior as well as new logos for the film.
The illustration features Thor sporting a cool red sleeveless jacket with a white T-shit underneath it as he wields his iconic axe Stormbreaker.
Hemsworth himself then gave fans a new look at the outfit as he posted a humorous Happy Birthday post on Instagram in honor of Chris Evans’ 40th birthday, featuring him alongside Chris Pratt from the set of the movie – showcasing the white T-shit he wears underneath the red jacket.
The film is the fourth installment in the beloved MCU’s Thor franchise. Hemsworth reprises his role alongside Tessa Thompson (as Valkyrie), Jaime Alexander (as Lady Sif) while Natalie Portman will reprise her role from the first two movies in the franchise as Jane Foster becomes the Mighty Thor. Meanwhile, Christian Bale plays the villainous Gorr the God Butcher and Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan and Sean Gunn will also appear in their respective roles.
