After episode 3 of Disney Plus’ Loki, these five questions need to be answered in episode 4.

Episode 2 of Disney Plus’ Loki finally gave us a look at the Variant of the God of Mischief. On top of that, we saw what she was planning: Complete and total chaos. After they were done with the first phase of their plan, new timelines popped up all over the place.

As the Variant escaped, however, the portal they created was left open. Loki had a decision to make: Stay with the TVA or jump through the portal with his Variant. As expected, Loki followed.

“Lamentis” answered some questions we had, but left us with more. Here are the five that will live rent free in our minds until episode 4.

5. Why doesn’t Sylvie want to be called Loki?

This has been a question we’ve had since episode 2. However, it seems more important now. Sylvie made it a point to tell Loki her name. What she didn’t tell him is why. What happened in her life that was so traumatic that she cursed her name?

Writer Robert Rodi wrote a mini-series called Loki. In that run, the God of Mischief saw how he’s destined to fail. Maybe something similar happened to Sylvie and she decided changing her name could avoid this fate.

There is a strong chance that we will find out why she doesn’t like being called Loki in this next episode – most likely since Sylvie will think they’re facing death.

4. How do they get off the planet?

Let’s be honest. We all know Loki and the Variant called Sylvie aren’t going to die in the next episode. The name of the series is Loki. Of course they’ll return. The big question is how.

The first thing this writer thought of was the possibility of Loki actually still having the time-hopping device. He may have just made it appear broken to see if he could trust Sylvie.

It’s more probable that the TVA will come and get them. We didn’t see them at all in this episode. This wasn’t by accident. Some people will forget about them since they weren’t needed for the show to progress this time. However, that does lead us to the next question.

3. Who are the TVA workers really?

Sylvie mentioned that the TVA workers are actually all Variants. Loki was shocked because he was told that the Timekeepers made them with the sole purpose of protecting the timeline. If this is true, it opens up a whole new set of questions. For example, who are the TVA employees really? How were they selected? Does Ravonna know that everyone’s a variant? Is she the only one who isn’t? Is the reason Mobius loves jetskis because he vaguely remembers his time on Earth? Does he know he’s a Variant? This article is supposed to be five burning questions, but that one query led to more than five more.

2. Did Sylvie’s mother’s death cause her mission?

As this writer mentioned earlier, we’re likely going to learn why she doesn’t want to be called Loki in the upcoming episodes. Perhaps that could be tied to the death of her mother. Sylvie didn’t mention how her mother died for no reason. And it wasn’t just because she was talking to her counterpart; it’s doubtful that she cares enough about their dynamic enough to be that honest (not without a purpose anyway). Most likely because that name is directly tied to another God of Mischief Variant and the TVA.

There’s a reason for her vendetta. Sylvie doesn’t seem to be doing this for the sake of mischief. This seems like a personal vendetta. There’s a reason she knows so much about the TVA, Timekeepers, why she’s carefully planned her assault and why it’s all tied into the name she doesn’t want to be called. Maybe the Marvel Cinematic Universe Loki isn’t the first one they’ve recruited.

1. What else do and don’t they share?

Loki and Sylvie bonded while they were on the train. Among the things they discussed, they found common ground in the fact that they had both been involved with both men and women and their love of their mothers. They also have their differences. For instance, Loki gleefully does magic while Sylvie doesn’t seem to enjoy magic that much (except for her Jedi Mind Trick). It makes you wonder where else they differ.

At some point in the next episode, we’ll probably learn more about Sylvie and how she is and isn’t like the God of Mischief from the MCU.
