Best comic book movie moments: 98. Wonder Woman mall scene

Comic book movie: Wonder Woman 1984

Wonder Woman 1984 started with an exciting action scene. A group of guys was attempting to rob a store. During their escape, they came across Wonder Woman. A smart person would see the writing on the wall and surrender. These guys were not smart. One of them even tried to get a hostage. In the end, Wonder Woman beat them with ease.

This was one of the better openings to a DC Comics project. It was bright, action-packed, and light-hearted. Everything that we hoped the rest of the movie would be. It got people interested in the rest of the plot and showed how much Diana had grown as a hero and a fighter.

Comic book movie: Spawn

People seem to forget about Spawn. Before Blade, Black Panther, and Steel (but after Meteor Man), Michael Jai White graced the screen as Albert “Al” Simmons. Spawn isn’t received the way it should be. Especially considering that John Leguizamo was incredible from start to finish. One of those moments came when he needed to put Spawn in his place.

Al Simmons thought that Violator was just a clown (figuratively and literally). He discovered how false that was. Violator showed Al that while he (Spawn) was the Devil’s choice, his power still paled in comparison to his. Violator ends the fight by mocking Simmons after impaling him on a steel gate.
