Best comic book movie moments: 22. Joker Museum scene

Comic book movie: Batman (1989)

Jack Nicholson’s Joker set a new standard for comic book villains. He showed future writers, cinematographers, and directors that you could balance dark and funny. It was no longer one or the other. The museum scene embodied this.

It starts off with Joker poisoning and killing everyone except Vicki Vale then having a party. Afterward, Joker and his henchmen danced around blasting Prince (who helped make this movie great). They’re “improving” the artwork while there are dead patrons in their seats. After they’re done, Joker sits down and tries to have a civil conversation. It’s one of the closest representations of a comic book villain we’ve seen.

Best comic book movie moments: 21. Remember remember

Comic book movie: V for Vendetta

V for Vendetta could be one of the greatest comic book movies of all time. To this writer, it’s absolutely perfect. One of those reasons is the poetic way that V spoke. The “Remember Remember” poem highlights this perfectly.

While it isn’t originally from the movie. It celebrates the anniversary of the failed Gunpowder Plot. What V did in the movie was bring that poem into the movie and make it memorable and bring it into the 21st century with style. Every fifth of November, fans around the world will post the quote.
