Comic book movie: TMNT (2014)
Leonardo and Raphael of the Ninja Turtles have been arguing forever. Ralph’s jealousy for Leo on top of his temper keeps them at odds. Meanwhile, Leo is trying to keep Ralph calm while leading the team. After years of waiting, we got to see the fight. Who would win if these two fought? In this story, it was Ralph who came out victorious.
Leo lost this fight more than Ralph won. The difference is the effort. Leo’s heart wasn’t in this fight. He didn’t want to really hurt his brother. Even if he was being a bonehead. Ralph was fighting to prove something. That’s not to take away from Leo. It was a good fight. It was the battle we’ve wanted and deserved.

Comic book movie: Dredd
Dredd is an absolutely underrated movie. Karl Urban brought the character to life as he’s done with Billy Butcher (The Boys). In Dredd, we got a peek at what it looks like when it’s Judge Dredd against seemingly impossible odds. He goes at those odds and wins.
Before he killed everyone after him, he gave them a warning (and he used the “I am the law” line too). They should have listened. Dredd tricked those goons in a way that even Frank Castle would be jealous of. If you haven’t seen this moment, check it out. You’ll see why it makes the list.
