Marvel’s multiverse gets turned upside down in Marvel’s What If…? but when does it all go down?
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has expanded into a new medium thanks to Disney Plus. The major streaming platform has allowed the MCU to make its presence felt on the small screen as well through the addition of shows such as WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and the recently-concluded Loki.
With the God of Mischief having brought a close to his first season (though rest assured he will be back), the focus now shifts to the next adventure from Marvel Studios. While the live-action offerings Ms. Marvel and Hawkeye will premiere later this year, Disney Plus is offering up an animated adventure like no other in Marvel’s What If…?.
The first ever Marvel Studios-produced animated adventure, it explores what would happen if various iconic moments within the MCU went down a little bit differently than they ultimately did.
When does Marvel’s What If…? season 1, episode 1 come out?
Marvel’s What If…? will premiere on Disney Plus on Wednesday, August 11, at 12:00 a.m. PT and 3:00 a.m. ET. Unlike its predecessors, it will run for a ten-episode premiere season (WandaVision had nine episodes while both The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki had six each).
After Marvel Studios treated them to three epic live-action offerings, you can bet fans are excited for another trip into the Marvel Cinematic Universe – even if it isn’t the MCU they recognize. And, as fans of animation know, the possibilities are limitless.
